On behalf of the children, staff and Governors, I warmly welcome you to St Denys CE Infant School in Ibstock. We are a vibrant, inclusive and family orientated Infant school with a 12 place Resource Base for children with Communication & Interaction and Cognition & Learning Needs.

At St Denys we believe in providing the best possible start for all our pupils on their journey as life-long learners.  Our dedicated team works hard to make sure our school is a happy, safe place, where our nurturing approach coupled with learning opportunities rooted in real experiences, all help our children to thrive. We seek to build upon the experiences each child brings from home.

All staff at St Denys, both teaching and support staff work as a team. We are committed to the development of each child as an individual. Our aim is to encourage children to work to the best of their abilities and realise their full potential in all aspects of learning and development social, emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual and moral. We see each child as a unique individual person, which is represented by our motto “Grow in wisdom. Live well. Love God. Love others”.

Dear Parents and Carers, We would like to inform you that, effective from Monday, 3rd November 2025, our school will be transitioning to a new communication platform called SchoolComms, also known as School Gateway. As a result, from this date onwards, we will no longer be using WeDuc (Reach More Parents) as our communication system. In preparation for this change, we have sent an invitation to all parents and carers to register on the new platform. The School Gateway app is free to download. To register, please use the email address and mobile number currently held on our records. Once registered, you will receive a unique four-digit PIN to access the system. If you have not yet received the registration email, we kindly ask you to check your spam or junk folder. Should you still be unable to locate the message, please do not hesitate to contact the school office on 01530 260004 for assistance. We strongly encourage all parents and carers to download the app and complete the registration process as soon as possible, as this will become our primary method of communication for important updates, event notifications, assemblies, direct messages, and more. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. The School Office Team

💛Join us this Hello Yellow💛 10 October 2025 St Denys is proud to take part with thousands of schools, communities and companies wearing yellow this World Mental Health Day and raise money to show young people that they’re not alone with their mental health. Right now, the world can be a tough place for children and young people to grow up in – and they are feeling the pressure. Right now, more than 1 in 4 young people have a probable mental health condition. Many aren't getting the help they need, when they need it. Some don’t even know where to turn, who to talk to, or if anyone else feels the same. But we can change this. We want young people to know that they don’t have to go through this alone. Things can get better.    By wearing yellow on World Mental Health Day (10 October), and donating what you can, you can show young people that they are not alone and that things can get better. Wear it loud. Wear it proud. Because we stand brighter, together. Please support this amazing charity by sending your child in something yellow and donating what you can to:
